Hello everyone! It's my turn to share a little something for today's Make It Monday.
Ever since I saw the cute little CC Cutters Cube Box die, I've been wanting to create a little perpetual calendar. I'm sure you've seen calendars like these but they are usually made of wood or something and not cardstock! Here's a little tutorial so you can make your own.
From the CC Cutters Cube Box Die, I cut three cubes. One for the months of the year and the other 2 for the days of the months. I also cut 18 yellow squares from the die that comes with the cube box die for easy layering. Using CC Cutters Bubble Numbers dies I cut out the numbers I would need for the days. I had to Google which numbers to put on each box so you can display the correct date without running out of numbers. On one cube are the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6. The other cube has 0, 1,2, 4, 7 and 8. Using CC Cutters Mini Alpha and Numbers die, I cut out the letters for the months. I layered my yellow squares and added all the numbers and letters first before assembling the cubes.
Next I created a little triangle to place over the box to decorate. This measures 4 3/4 x 5 inches. Score from the left at 1 1/2, 3 and 4 1/2. You might want to decorate one of the panels first before assembling it into a triangle.
I think these would make a wonderful gift especially for teachers. I am always trying to think of something for teachers and since this is a perpetual calendar, it can be given on any occasion. Hope you'll give it a try!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
