Ice Cream in the summer

The summer sure did go fast this year. The girls actually strated back the first of August, when I was in school we started after labor day. So labor day was always the official end of summer vacation. I used to dread it, I did not like school. Is it bad that I still have dreams about being in high school? And not the you forgot your clothes dreams either, I have the ones about not passing classes and having to many absent's.

This summer Tennessee has been cooler than usual, we usally have a week of 100 degree weather, this year we had two or three days of the heat index being over 100 degrees, hopefully this will mean some snow this year!!!!

The card I made is from the Sweet Treats card kit that was released back in July. I will be releasing another kit the middle of September. I am hoping now that we have gotten completely moved into the new space, plus got our second vulcanizer, and another employee that starts Tuesday, I will be able to release a new kit each month. The cardstock is Bazzill Doodlebug, Pattern Paper is Doodlebug, ribbon is May Arts, brads are doodlebug. I colored Monkey in with Copic Markers.

ATS Review Preview Friday-Sentiment and Scenery Set

It's Friday and that means Reviewing another C.C. Designs Set. Since next Friday will be the start of Septembers Set we had to double up this week and do both sets.

In my card I used only the Scenery Set. This is my favorite flower out of the whole set. This card was super easy to make.

I took a piece of white cardstock and cut it 4" x 4". I then took a ruler and marked little dots where the center of the flowers should be, so that the flowers would be straight. I stamped all the flowers and then glittered the centers.

I then stamped the flower on a scratch piece of paper and punched it out. To add contrast I glittered the petals. I pop dotted the punched flower over a flower on the card base.

I attached ribbon to the corner of the white cardstock, and then attached it all to the yellow card base.

ATSDTC15 Scented Card-Monkey Card

 

I haven't felt good lately, I have this nasty cold that has been going around. I am on day 6 of it. I figured maybe a little stamping would make me feel better, especially a little monkey stamping.

The ATS Challenge for today was to make a scented card. You can read all the deets here. I used Banana Card Scents, since my card is a monkey. The picture actually looks better than the card, the card base is actually pinkish/red.

I colored monkey in with Copics and then gave him chalk cheeks, I have found that peach makes better looking cheeks than pink or red. I used one of my favorite tools, my Inkssentials White Pen.
